Explore Hampi, the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire and a treasure of Karnataka's heritage. The Stone Chariot inside the Vijaya Vittala Temple is an iconic, intricately carved structure – a remarkable testament to the empire's architectural brilliance.

Virupaksha Temple is the only temple in Hampi still actively used for worship, with a towering gopuram (ornate gate tower), intricate carvings and a sacred elephant. Lotus Mahal is a beautiful, symmetrical pavilion that served as a recreational palace for the royal women, known for its unique blend of Indian and Islamic architectural styles. The Ugra Narasimha statue is a massive monolithic sculpture depicting Lord Vishnu's man-lion avatar in a terrifying form, seated on the coils of a seven-headed serpent.

A coracle ride offers a unique and serene way to explore the Tungabhadra River and its ancient riverside ruins from a traditional circular basket boat. The trip also includes a morning at Sanapur Lake and a sunset trek up Anjanadri Hill, believed to be Lord Hanuman's birthplace.

FAQ

Where is the pickup for Hampi Trip?

Pickup points and times: JM Corner, Pune (8:00 pm); Bhujbal Chowk, Pune (9:00 pm); VRL Stop, Pune (9:30 pm); Thane, Mumbai (2:30 pm); Dadar, Mumbai (3:00 pm); Vashi, Mumbai (3:30 pm); Kalamboli, Mumbai (4:00 pm). Please be there 10 minutes early.

Is Hampi Trip good for beginners?

Yes. It's graded Easy on our five-step scale, which suits first-timers who can walk steadily for a few hours.

Are meals included?

Included: Total 4 meals: Day 2 – breakfast and lunch; Day 3 – breakfast and lunch.

Are there washrooms?

Not on the trails. We stop at the base village to freshen up before the climb and again after. Please don't expect luxury: these are treks, and our brochures say so too.

How much luggage can I bring?

One backpack (no sling bags) with the items on the trek's packing list. Wear your trek clothes and keep a spare set for the ride back.

What happens if the weather turns?

Plans can change with the weather. On the trail the trek leader's decision is final, and Travel Firse may reschedule or cancel a trek for safety. In the monsoon expect rain, slippery rock and leeches, and pack a poncho, not an umbrella.
