Questions people ask us
Pickups, washrooms, transport, bags, beginners and food, answered straight.
Where are the pickup points?
Most Pune treks pick up at McDonald's or a nearby landmark on JM Road (Deccan), then one more stop on the way out of the city: Nashik Phata metro, Xion Mall Hinjewadi, Navale Bridge, Wakad, Shivajinagar, Swargate or Katraj, depending on the route. Exact points and times are on every trek page. Hampi also picks up in Mumbai (Thane, Dadar, Vashi, Kalamboli).
What kind of transport is it?
Pune-to-Pune private transport is included in the price of every trek, and the vehicle depends on the group size. For Hampi it's a traveller or sleeper bus, as per your selection.
Are there washrooms?
Not on the trails. We stop at the base village to freshen up before the climb and again after. Please don't expect luxury: these are treks, and our brochures say so too.
How much luggage can I bring?
One backpack (no sling bags) with the items on the trek's packing list. Wear your trek clothes and keep a spare set for the ride back.
I've never trekked. Can I join?
Yes. Treks graded Easy or Easy–Moderate (the five dots on each card) suit first-timers who can walk steadily for a few hours. Use the Beginner-friendly filter on the treks page.
Are meals included?
Meals during the trek are included on every trek, and each trek page lists exactly which. Mineral water, cold drinks and anything you order for yourself are extra.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel 3 or more days before departure for a full refund, or 2 days before for 50%. Within 2 days of departure there is no refund. Check the trek page for trip-specific rules.
How do I pay?
First confirm seat availability with us on call or WhatsApp. Then pay the registration amount by Google Pay or PhonePe. Your booking is confirmed once the full trek charges are received.
Can I come alone?
Yes, you can book a single seat and trek with the group. If you're a woman travelling solo and want to know more about the group on your date, ask us on WhatsApp before booking.
What happens if the weather turns?
Plans can change with the weather. On the trail the trek leader's decision is final, and Travel Firse may reschedule or cancel a trek for safety. In the monsoon expect rain, slippery rock and leeches, and pack a poncho, not an umbrella.
